At 19, Alexa Curtis loves being her own boss. Here’s what she told *Forbes* magazine: “I guess I’m a true type A entrepreneur. I never think anything is good enough and probably won’t until I feel completely established. But I feel I’m finally making my mark. Even though I’ve been working nonstop since I was 12, this passion and drive just gets stronger everyday.”
Born and raised in Mansfield, a small, rural town in Eastern Connecticut, Alexa longed to escape. When she was 7, her father was wrongly convicted of a heinous crime and put in a maximum-security prison. He got out when she was twelve.
As a teen, she was severely bullied and dealt with depression for many years as a result of constantly comparing herself to what she saw online. After this experience, Alexa developed a very strong calling to help teens, which led her to create a forum of social media and mental health.
Today she’ll reveal the ups and downs of her journey and reveal how to achieve massive success when you “live your own brand.” Her website is [www.alifeinthefashionlane.com.](www.alifeinthefashionlane.com)
